Fun item, my kids love it, although it is really not that interactive, as I thought.Pet the head, does nothing; the sounds seems to be at random, it doesn't really use a microphone to get the tone of your voice when you talk to the dog; nor it respond to clapping, running to you. It happens once in a blue moon; which makes me think that probably it just get sounds from the source and sometimes it triggers the movement.Also the app included is not really doing much; the best interactive activity is the feeding, which makes the dog burp after the meal, but it is really too little to call it interactive.for a 5 year old it is a decent toy; but forget about what you see in the promo video, because this toy does nothing, beside making noises, walking when you press the button on the controller and sit when you touch the head. This is no AIBO, and looking at the price, it is expected.

My daughter loves it!
Bought this for my daughters 3rd bday. She loves it and it's cool because it responds to its name. It does go through batteries pretty quickly though. However, my daughter will play with it even if there aren't any batteries in it lol

Better than expected!
Bought this for my 5 yr old's birthday...she loves it, and so does everyone else! I was worried it might not work very well on my carpet, but it works great! I don't have tall shag carpet, but it's not industrial carpet either, it's somewhere in the middle. The app didn't work on my daughter's tablet, so she uses mine, but even without the app, this toy is a keeper!!

This puppy is kind of lame..
This puppy is kind of lame... It doesn't really walk... it has rollers at each paw... that means it can't turn. So when my granddaughter would "walk" the puppy and make a turn, the puppy would fall over....
