Is just a masterpiece leader class
Well from a perspective of a collector every series' is different from others this one is the best for its complexity, detail is fantastic, and the boxing came it great, size is perfect for display or toy with it i mean if you want a massive leader class buy a devastator this one is worth the price for the detail on it.

Studio Series means in scale with other figures in the series. This guy is BIG
Blackout is one of my favorite figures to come out in the Studio Series. Before we only got him in a smaller version that was really out of scale. Now we get a Leader Class figure that is twice as tall as the Deluxe Class figures. With the larger scale comes more detail. And boy do we get detail. The transformation is quite tricky. Lots and lots of parts move around on this guy. Totally worth the work for either the great looking robot, or realistic looking MH-53 Pave Low helicopter.Hasbro did an excellent job making him look screen accurate. Something we haven't always gotten with Blackout. I highly recommend this beast of a Decepticon.

almost perfect but too expensive
The reason I didn't rate this with the highest score it's because of the cost of the figure, at least the seller that send me the product charged me a big amount of money for it and for the delivery too.About the figure itself is awesome. Almost and identical replic of the character that we see in the movie.

Amazing!
I find this product incredible, it is impressive the details it has, but I think it is the best of this version as grimlock.

Nearly Perfect!
I love this figure, and highly recommend it to any collector! It is a highly screen-accurate version of the character. However, it does have a few flaws, and I look forward to a new Masterpiece figure in the future addressing these problems.First, while the coloring is a little bland, sporting a mostly plastic grey in Alt Mode as a Pave Low Helicopter, he has more coloring in Robot Mode, including a very impressive head mold that looks just like the film. The Scorponok mini-figure can only articulate his tail and swivel his arms, but is very well colored and fits in well with Blackout - under his "tail end" in Alt Mode, and on his back (screen-acurate!) in Robot mode.Second, the helicopter rotor blades do form "wings" on his back, but the blades on mine do not completely fold together properly on his right side. Also, the rotor blades only spin freely for a half turn in Alt Mode, before encountering friction and requiring force to complete the full rotation.Third, his forearms have extensive "kibble" that make them excessively bulky, and the hands are effectively unable to articulate because some of the "kibble" extends farther than the hands do.Fourth, in alt mode, there are some panels on the side that don't completely lock into place, which would be noticeable to eagle-eyed viewers, but don't effect the integrity of the form.Fifth, there is very limited articulation you can do with the Robot Mode. There is simply too much kibble to allow for much posing.All-in-all, however, the figure looks incredibly screen accurate in both Modes, which is where he shines. For the price, it is best reserved for avid collectors who are now bolstering their collection (like myself). With the rather intricate transformation, it is best left as a rather large helicopter for children to play with.In summary, I would actually give this figure a 4.5 out of 5 if I could, but would like to reserve a 5 for other figures, and I hope they do make a Masterpiece version that fixes these problems. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to receiving the DNA Design DK-16 Upgrade Kit which should improve the figure in several ways (like adding articulating hands)!
