Bell Fraction Youth Multi-Sport Helmet

I like this helmet, because it looks nice, has great padding and a hard plastic shell. I prefer the hard plastic shell for my you kids, because inevitably the helmets are going to get dropped, kicked and bumped often, and many of the newer helmets (albeit for safety reasons) have a thin plastic coat that cracks easily, then looks terrible, even though they are still useable. I deduct 1 star since it is only adjustable by changing out the paddings (three thickness included with helmet), and that the paint/graphics scratched pretty easily subtracting from the cool looks. This was purchased for my 2.5yo, we used the thicker paddings.

Be aware that this helmet came with THREE different thicknesses of padding. We have one in Texas which my wife bought. When I decided to go bicycling with my son in Massachusetts, I bought another the exact same size, not knowing they have different thicknesses of padding. I could have bought a larger helmet and used thicker padding so that he could use the helmet longer, going to thinner padding as he grows. FYI.

Perfect children's helmet. After much searching, I purchased this simple but high quality helmet.The straps are secured stoutly to the helmet, it is not difficult to adjust and with a rounded back to the helmet it works very well for bike carriers (unlike tapered helmets where your kid's head will end up tilted to either side if they lean back).My 17month old actually likes wearing this helmet and will go pick it up and put it on like it's a fun hat to wear. (I wasn't expecting that from something that serves such an important utilitarian purpose.)

Our daughter is just turning 1 year old and I was very unsatisfied with the previous bike helmet that we received as a gift. It was more of a traditional helmet and kept sliding forward over her eyes. I ordered the XS size of this helmet (even though she has a large head for her age) and it fits great! It stays in place and she is happy with it during the ride. She kept trying to pull off her old one, but she leaves this one alone. We used the smallest insert pads and it fits snug with room for growth with the other inserts. I highly recommend this helmet over the others!

Bought this used and it was actually brand new just the packaging was slightly damaged. Paid about 1/3 of new price, excellent buy! My son loves this helmet, it is very durable and Bell holds up to their name. Has different pads you can put in for different sizes. I bought a Small for my 7 year old son and he can definitely wear this for several years to come!

Our 1 year old has a small head and the smallest setting pads are just now fitting at 14 months. Sad part is she hasn't been able to use this until now, but BONUS news: this will last several years to come with the adjustable pads! The helmet seems very comfortable, as the kiddo likes to walk around wearing it for no reason. Also..come on, how cute is this?

Overall I like it, but the X-small is a bit smaller than expected. My son is 2, and it fits him with the slimmest pads, so it won't fit him for as long as I was hoping. I measured his head, and he was at the smaller end of the range listed, so I was expecting him to have a bit more room to grow.

My 10 month old baby just learned how to walk by himself. He fell down constantly and hurt himself many times a day. We decided to get him this hat. The first time we put it on, he was not happy. But when he saw himself with the hat in the mirror, he seemed to like how he looked. Afterwards, there is no resistance when the hat is put on.We ordered Neon Orange Critter. It's very cute. Most of all, it works very well. The xs size with the middle sized padding fit him very well.

Great looking helmet that offers superior protection for my little dare devil! Highly recommend

This has been beaten up. It has some scuffs, but it is otherwise in great shape. The adjustability is very useful, and the sizing is spot on.

This helmet slips and slides all over my sons head. The straps constantly loosen. It looks cool and seems like it's made well it just has never fit well:(

Fits great and much better looking than most toddler helmets.

My son loves it! And the foam inside is adjustable. You can add or take out.

Fits great on my boy, who's a bit small for his age (1 year old). I had to adjust the straps a bit too keep it from coming down over his eyes, but it's no big deal.

This product is a trash.

My son has it since he is 18 months and he is now 5 ! Still wearing it and still loving it ! Will buy the same brand for the little brother !!!!
