I am shocked by how well this works to tow my 6 year old! Feels super strong and steady and secure. I saw reviews saying the strap broke and mentioned plastic parts. Wondering if I got a newer version because the strap that holds it on is webbing with a sturdy-seeming metal catch. But even if that broke I'd still be able to attach it with zip ties. Really pleased.

works well, but the plastic clip that secures it should be metal. breaks easily.Can still use without clip, but not as elegant

I like these over other tow implements because they retract and are compact. I was using bungees previously which are kind of a pain. Where do you put the bungee when you're not using it? I don't like to ride with a pack on.You do have to be careful with them because they don't absorb any shock. However, bungees will eventually fail and then they won't absorb either. So I'd rather just have a static tow line to begin with and get used to it.

I love this product, I keep it on my bike at all times and help tow my friend’s bikes when it gets really steep, the tow hook is light and inconspicuous, hardly see it when connected to the seat rails of my saddle. I do wish it was a foot longer, but there’s likely pros and cons to that as well. It takes somepractice but not something you can’t pick up in 3 mins.
