Microbiology by OpenStax (Official Print Version, hardcover, full color)

This is exactly what it looks like. An OpenStax textbook. Came in fast with no issues and no damage.

It’s a textbook, could just use more color to make images and diagrams clearer.

Solidly bound textbook. Pages are a decent thickness and not insanely thin like other cheap textbooks. Useful for people who like a physical textbook and/or don’t feel like looking at a pdf for hours on end.Overall a decent textbook and useful for general reference.

I hate online books so I purchased this one to take notes and highlight.

I bought this book for my Microbiology Class, however the pages are separating from the spine already.

It was delivered fast and did not have any damages when I opened the package. I was concerned about not being the same book I needed for my class but it was.

I got the free Kindle version, and the layout was fine, some books have a horrible kindle format when they make a book into a digital version. My school actually made this the required text for nursing school, which is nice, because we all now books can cost almost as much as tuition. I've never bought a single book from my campus bookstore, I always come to Amazon first and usually find the best deals here, and I love the rental if it's a book I don't need to keep for reference. This book was pretty easy to read, I feel like I have a good understanding of the field after using this book with my course. If you're interested, this book is also free as a PDF download on openstax.org, along with other textbooks.

While appreciate a free ebook at my convenience, I am one who greatly benefits from a physical book that I can touch and flip pages and highlight. I sought out this book in hopes I found the book needed for my class, but it is only part 2 of 2. It begins at chapter 15, while my class begins at chapter 1. So minor hiccup. I may just use the free ebook until we make it to chapter 15. I wish I had known about this beforehand, but I guess it’s better than nothing.
