Does not shave very well

I just got this Norelco head to replace an aftermarket head I was using. Though more expensive than the aftermarket brand I just replaced, the Norelco performs better and lasts longer than aftermarket. I think it's worth the extra expense in the long run to buy the Norelco.The aftermarket head that i just replaced lasted about 5 months, then became ineffective, even after I cleaned it out. Plus the aftermarket head didn't shave as close, and tended to catch and pull at hairs on my face. I do not have much hair growing on my face, so the razor's workload isn't too severe.Previously, I used a Norelco replacement head after the original head wore out. That Norelco head lasted over a year before it needed replaced. i replaced that Norelco head with aftermarket brand as noted above.I agree with other reviewers, the Norelco replacement head doesn't offer the same shave quality as the original Norelco shaving head. But, the newer Norelco head is sufficient for me.

It was a close decision--try Norelco replacement heads one more time, or purchase a Braun. Others have described the problem--i.e., retainer rings do not hold the shaving head in place, resulting in longer time required and a poor shave. So far--one week now--the just-purchased replacement head is working OK. For some time Norelco was providing simply unacceptable replacement heads. I made sure each time to buy Norelco, not a knock-off copy, but they were failed product. Will see as time goes by.

This OEM replacement shaver head is perfect for your Norelco shaver. Do not buy the copycat blades because they just will not hold up as this one will. This makes my shaver shaved just as it did right out of the box. It is a little expensive as it is almost half as much as a brand new shaver altogether. But with the glass half full you could say that it does cost half as much and therefore will save you money for the same product.

Got this to replace my rq12 which is no longer manufactured it seems. RQ12+ is bit tight when you are squeezing the head into the slot but works as expected. Maybe over time, it will smoothen out.

It locks in to position very good. It is slightly harder to clean unless you have a small soft bristle Toothbrush, which makes it easier to hold the handle vertical so the bristles can go under the ridge on the inside of the head as you circle each individual cutter.

These replacement blades are not as easy to clean as the previous designs. I find them a bother to remove the keeper and dump the whiskers every time you shave. Although, They do perform well and shave close.

As expected and works great!

The unit is easy to install and much easier to clean.
