This is NOT the uncut version.
Just so you know, this variation (103 min) version of ASF is cut to pieces. If you are looking for the ENTIRE, UNCUT movie, this is not it. I have watched both and the cut version is barely watchable after seeing the whole film. In essence, what made that film "disturbing" was largely cut out of the cut version, this one, and once I sorted it all out, I would never watch this extremely censored version that, again, does a huge disservice to the full film. Once you see the difference, if you ever do, you won't believe how much different they are. I would have never bought this version had I known it was the decimated version. So, if you are looking for A Serbian Film uncut, this is not it. The uncut version is much more expensive, but worth it.

Intriguing!
Not for the faint of heart, but check it out if you are highly open minded and not easily offended or shocked! Not as bad as they say, but not for the squeamish!

Cringe Fest!
This is a disgusting movie. There are more than one really cringy scenes in the movie. I can not and will not ever recommend this movie to the weak of heart or stomach. Seriousely only watch if you dare. Seriously! The only positive thing that I can say about it is the production value wasn't any where as low as I thought it was going to be. That however is damming with faint praise.

This is the version you are looking for
Full run time with every last thing you didn’t want to see. Great satire with unbelievable shock factor. Definitely do your research before getting involved with this one, although that’s probably what led you here.

Pornographic horror movie
I've seen this movie once I dont ever want to watch it again. Its disgusting & disturbing. But if you liked Irreversible, Martyrs, Cannibal Holocaust, or Salo than you'll enjoy this filth.

"ORPHEUS' ascending, but counseled by Faust.
PASOLINI's "SALO" is far more intense than this rather excellent 'retelling' of 'Faust' / 'Orpheus' ... in modern-day terms. This movie is far superior to the Hollywood 'Saw' / 'Hostel' and 'whatever fare', since there's a great story-line plus a nasty little twist - not the ending itself, but the definition of 'brotherly love'.Our misguided 'Orpheus' - desperate for finances to support his family - accepts an 'unusual' offer to make an 'Art' Film ...... its' improvised via the hidden director, orchestrated by his sinister 'storm-troopers' in black and watched - from a slight distance' - by another sinister entity .....It IS brilliantly edited, with 'bordering on explicit' sexual moments ... but most of us have seen probably worse? There's a stench of 'truth' to this scenario ~ the deliberate and sensuous decline of Modern Day Morality.HIGH RECOMMENDED for the 'non-squeamish' - it certainly ain't Mary Poppins.QUITE, quite impossible to envision an American or English version ~ casting would be impossible - imagine Tom Cruise or better even Bradley Cooper / Ryan Reynolds or Ryan Gosling as the lead [who resembles Polanski in the original].It borders strongly on Paul Verhoven, David Lynch, Cronenberg and Friedkin territory ...... maybe even Ken Russell [with Olivier Messiaen blaring in the background] ..... naturally in 3-D IMAX!and 'yes' Pasoline is applauding with von Trier!

Despite the unrealistic special effects, this one is not for the faint-hearted
Srđan Todorović stars as Miloš, a retired porn actor trying to to make ends meet while living a domestic life with his wife and young son. His brother is a corrupt police officer with a thing for Miloš' attractive wife, Marija (Jelena Gavrilović), which is made quite clear in a kitchen scene. Knowing Miloš is struggling financially, his former colleague, Lejla (Katarina Žutić), gives him a call to entice him out of retirement. She offers Miloš a chance to star in a porn film by a director willing to pay him enough to end his financial worries. After meeting with this director, who reveals he is impressed with Miloš' earlier works, Miloš' reluctantly signs on, even though the director won't tell him what the film is about, or anything about what it entails. At first, the scenes and acts performed don't seem to warrant the rap this film has earned, but just wait. The more this film progresses, the worse it gets. We're talking torture, necrophilia, pedophilia, and some philias you'll need to look up. The characters, particularly the director played by Sergej Trifunović, are believable in their roles and aren't too over-the-top, as they are with other sick flicks like Bloodsucking Freaks, but the unrealistic special effects here are just as poor, which may help reduce the impact this film might have on the squeamish. I suppose this film could illustrate how some people will do anything, and I mean anything, for the sake of their "art," but I fail to see much artistic value in this one. However, if you're the type who wants to watch a film like this just to see what all the fuss is about, do so.
