Keeps it safe
I have MP3 players for my small children, because I don’t want them staring at a screen on long road trips, so they listen to audiobooks. Of course, the MP3 players occasionally fly through the car during a short stop or if they fall asleep holding them or if they become a weapon against each other. They’re still in good shape.

Calling all sculptors
Snug fit and reasonably solid protection with one design flaw- one side of the hole for the earphone/auxiliary jack is linear instead of rounded, which prevents full insertion of a plug. The only way to correct the problem is to force the plug in or cut into the hole. Luckily, I am a descendant of Michelangelo so mine still looks factory fresh.
