Here to buy another for my new system build and decided to leave a note. My old one hasn't given me any issue to speak of, dropped it in my old i7 2700K system and it made it feel like a new machine. Very happy.

This is my second one to purchase. I put this one into my desktop and also saw a much improved boot time and photos come up much quicker.

I had my computer built two years ago, however, I kept my old hard drive as my master. It was old but, I hate reformatting and re configuring drives - especially boot drives . . . with all of the applications, serial numbers, product keys, etc. I also had a couple of other boot drives on my system i needed to contend with.But, over the years, my old drive was getting sluggish. It was taking up to 5 minutes to fully boot. And loading Photoshop gave me enough time to grab a cup of tea. Too much time wasted. So, an upgrade to the 960GB Ignite was what i was looking for at an affordable price.Its been a while since I cloned a boot drive so i had forgotten how to do it. I ended up getting Paragon Drive Copy and Easy BCD to assist. It took a while longer than i anticipated to configure but, in the end (relatively quick end), all was good.My computer now boots (from a powered off mode) in 20 seconds so i can logon. Photoshop now boots in about 13 seconds.I never realized how much improvement i could realize from an SSD drive.

Really Really fast boot time and overall software installations are so much faster. The reason I got it was because it reduced the heat from the old traditional hard drive. This had a nice price.

I think this would be an excellent drive if it worked, but, my does't. Not sure why my Mac can see it but the Windows box. I am trying to return it but Amazon is not responding to my emails for some reason. I will keep trying. Do not let this review be the reason why you do not buy it. I think it was just the odds that got me. I have another very similar drive that is just great,

Excellent product

I bought this as an alternative to the higher cost Intel SSD with, in the description, comparable speeds, but even in 2 separate and different brand Thunderbolt enclosures, I was barely getting 510MB/s Read and 490MB/s Write speeds, so no where near the theoretical max speeds. I am still keeping it (cost vs speed) to replace a slow HDD in a USB 3 enclosure (where it maxes out at 445MB/s) that is a dramatic improvement over the stock HDD, so not Intel, but OK..Tested on a late 2012 MacBook Pro Retina using built-in Thunderbolt-ports with Akitio and Buffalo Thunderbolt Enclosures that I use to test speeds of SSD and HDD, and most manufacturers are spot on with the announced speeds.This is not a slow SSD considering cost, but don't expect the speeds in the description. At least it seems to run cool and uses low power.

SSD arrived in a clean unopened box and appeared to be in factory-new condition. When I took it to my local Mac shop to have it installed, they determined through a practical series of hardware tests that it was a bad disk. They may make a good product, but I chose to move to Crucial MX200, which gets higher reviews on many more purchases from Amazon. It's about $40 more, but I want the reliability and better performance since this one worked out so badly. Sorry Patriot, try again later...

Hab mir diese SSD auf Grund eines Vergleichtests in der c't-Zeitung besorgt, wo sie unter vier anderen SSD eine der schnellsten und auch recht günstig war. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, würde sie mir wieder kaufen und kann die weiterempfehlen.

余り日本国内では知名度が高くないPATRIOTですが、この製品自体はコスパ最高だと考えてます。購入してから約一ヶ月間経つ今も、購入して良かったと思う。960GB（約1TB）のSSDを三万六千円以下の値段(2015年5月下旬）で入手できたなんて！性能自体はベンチマークを採っておりませんので詳しくはわかりませんが、通常のSSD並みにはあるのでは？私の使用目的である、WAVサンプルデータの置き場としての役割はHDDを使うよりもランダム読み込み性能の必要な音楽制作現場において活躍しております。拘る人にとってはコントローラーチップの名称に馴染みが無いので敬遠しそうですが、、、私はこの製品、データ倉庫SSDをお探しの方にお勧めします。
