Solid phone for a great price
I needed a phone for my small business. I was primarily looking for a desk phone with a speaker feature. This phone has worked out very well for me. It is relatively light-weight overall. The features work as described. And the speaker phone aspect works as you would want it to. It is clear and easy to use. Overall this phone works just as it is described. You can not go wrong with this phone for the price.

Good desktop phone
I replaced an older phone with this one mainly for the Caller ID feature. The phone has a clean interface which makes it quite attractive. It is also very easy to use and program. The voice quality is very good. The only problem is that the time displayed is 4 hours ahead and there is no way to change that. I even emailed Uniden for help but they were not able to help. For the price I paid, this is an exceptional value.

Nice solid phone
This is a very nice phone. The display is large and easy to read. The phone feels heavy and not cheap. The sound quality is excellent. I am very happy with this purchase. The cord could be a little longer for the headset but frankly those are easily obtainable for about $6 at the local big box store. I'd buy another one if needed.

Not as advertised
The Uniden 1360 phone is poorly designed and simply not as advertised. The problems were immediately noticed while configuring the phone for initial use. The poor design involves the battery compartment, or more specifically, the battery compartment in relation to the position of the desk stand. Unfortunately, the battery compartment is located under the stand that elevates the phone for desktop use, so, every time the batteries need to be changed, the phone has to be partially disassembled to achieve that aim. This was ill-conceived in the first place, but I also imagine that no product testing was done. If it had been, Uniden certainly would have noticed this inconvenience and made a simple change to fix it. This was an annoyance, but not worth making a fuss over. The next thing I noticed was the so-called speaker phone. The product description clearly states that the phone includes a one; however, the instructions regarding this feature explains that "the speakerphone works similar to a two-way radio in that you can only listen or talk at one time." It recommends against using the speakerphone feature in an area with background noise, because, "the microphone might pick up these sounds and prevent the speakerphone from going into receiving mode when you finish talking." What it doesn't say, but what is obvious from these instructions, is that the person to whom you are speaking cannot interrupt you. If that person needed to tell you, "I've got another call coming in," or "I've got to go now," or "help! I've fallen, and I can't get up," it would be impossible. In short, it doesn't work "similar to a two-way radio," it works virtually identically to a two-way radio. A two-way radio has its uses, but it is most certainly not a speakerphone. Again, however, I found this revelation to be annoying, but since I rarely use a speakerphone anyway, I was not terribly concerned about it. The final straw was when I came to the caller id function. Many of my friends and relatives only use cell phones, and typically, the caller id for these displays simply as the number, or the number along with a generic description like "cellular caller" or "Maryland" or "Twin Cities." With every other caller id phone I have encountered, if a cellular number has been saved to the phone's memory storage, the caller id function will then display whatever description has been saved to memory associated with that cellular number (rather than the generic information). This Uniden phone, however does not work that way. Regardless of whether a number has been saved to memory, and regardless of the description associated with that number, this phone displays only the generic "cellular caller" type of message. This limitation renders the caller id feature of this phone virtually useless. Sure, it will display the number, but unless you've memorized the number of anyone who might call from a cell phone, just having the number is not any great benefit. Since caller id was the sole reason for purchasing this phone - replacing an existing one that does not have that feature - needless to say, this phone is going right back to Amazon.

Satisfactory Choice in a Universe of Limited Choices
This is a reasonable choice in a marketplace where there aren't many old fashioned desktop phones to choose from. Previously I had a Northern Telcom (US West branded) phone that lasted a long time -- close to two decades -- and if it weren't for the fading of the display, I would still be able to use it. This phone is not the same league, but that's to be expected with (I suppose) all the smart engineers wanting to build smartphones. Pros: good size screen, legible depending on lighting, good size buttons, battery option means no power cabling to worry about (but see battery cons). Cons: The battery option means that you have limited time to save your settings when the batteries go. If you're away on a long trip, better change the batteries first. (My old phone was on a UPS.) What I dislike the most about the phone is the absence of a backlit screen. Sure, there's caller ID, but what good is it if I can't read it? The manual was too rudimentary and didn't cover some of the basics very well, such as scrolling through call history or deleting past calls. The address book should hold a couple hundred names. This phone does no better than the early 90's model. Maybe I would like this phone better if I hadn't owned a Northern Telcom that showed me how it should have been built instead.

Great Basic Corded Phone
After a recent power outage, we discovered that cordless phones go out with the electric power. We purchased this phone primarily as a back-up phone should we ever loose power in the future. This phone works very well. Large font screen makes reading it easy. Speaker phone is clear and undistorted. Uses AA batteries and can be mounted on wall or used as desk phone. For the price, this is a great corded phone.

Uniden 1360BK Desktop Corded Telephone
I mistakenly ordered this telephone, thinking I had ordered the 1380Bk model, and that it had a call answering system. When I realized my mistake, I contacted Amazon and returned it. They immediately gave me a refund. Everyone at Amazon and the Jolly Roger contractor, were all so accommodating to help me get the telephone I really wanted. I couldn't ask for better service from these folks. I highly recommend ordering goods from Amazon. I then ordered the 1380Bk phone and I absolutely love it. The CID is so easy to see, and setting it up was a breeze. I didn't have the option of listening to a call without holding the receiver with my old phone, and now I have this great option with the Uniden 1380BK phone.

Serves the purpose it bought it for : home office phone. Combined with a Plantronics headset, works well for endless conf calls. Rudimentary features, but the basics are covered.

I keep one corded phone in my kitchen. I could not replace my GE corded phone that we all loved so I ended up buying the Uniden and it has been an excellent replacement for the GE. The large display is easily read from a distance, it has speakerphone, redial, tons of number memory maybe 99? I have not used it long enough to know yet but definitely 40+ which even at 40 is more than enough. Sound is clear and the phone is easy to use. One of the most important features this phone has that I was looking to get was battery backup so that when there are power failures it keeps it's memory of numbers. This phone has it! I am happy about this purchase and would highly recommend it to others. It is difficult to get a good corded phone nowadays, and I am happy to highly recommend this one!

The call display has already stopped working in less than six months, and there is no ringer volume for the very loud ringer. We have the phone by our bed and it scares the crap out of us when it rings!

Works well, but LCD screen works with batteries and there's no backlight in the LCD screen, so we cannot see who's calling if there's not enough light around.

I recently purchased 2 of these phones, and I love 'em! I love the tilted face and that it can hang on the wall or sit on my desk. I have one in my barn, and the ringer is easy to hear and the call display is LOADS brighter and easier to read than my last phone that I actually paid more for! I'm seriously thinking of getting 2 more, and would highly recommend these to anyone! Thanks Amazon!
