Antique Brass Zippo Lighter

Zippo has always been at the top of my list for lighters. I don't smoke but i always carry a lighter just for the well of it.My only problem is the brass is not 100% percent aged. At the top cap on the hinge side there is a spot of polished brass. It a great lighter but it looks stupid one its not all "antique, so i washed it in vinegar and put it in my oven for a few minutes now it looks great.

It's a challenge to select a lighter from Zippo Because they have so many styles of artwork and finishes on their products. I don't even smoke anymore, I just wanted a dependable lighter to carry as well as for the house. This is a well made design that's as reliable as they get. Its easy to refill, replace wicks and flints as well. The lighter I have looks exactly like the one pictured here. Its just the right size to slip into your packet, Something that is still made with pride in the USA. Amazon shipped it quickly and it was well packed . I think this is a fine lighter that should last for many years, and I think you will too.

Looks great, but seldom works. Fill it up and it will light, but a day or two later, nothing. It seams as if the fuel is evaperating at a very fast rate. Like allot of the items sold on Amazon I think are factory seconds. Quality is second to price. I would not buy this again nor would I recomend.

Well made and perfectly functioning lighter. Sturdy and impressive. The color was not exactly "antique" as described. It looked like a brand new peice of brass, with a few flecks of brown. Product does state that color will age well with time, so we'll see.

Arrived fairly early, in great condition and looks amazing. The antique brass look also has a nice shine to it the photo doesn't show. The only downside is it was 95 degrees outside here today when it was being shipped, and was put in a metal mail box, that was even hotter than that where it sat for at least one hour. When the package was opened and I took the Zippo out of the box, and peeled of the sticker on the back of it, it left residue when pealed, but this was not the company, or those who shipped its fault. Some advice, if you receive this and it is that hot, let it sit a few hours inside before your promptly rip open the package like a 7 year old on Christmas morning like I was. If it leaves residue. take an eraser to the residue, and scrub like crazy, then use a tooth brush with either soap or tooth paste and scrub with that, after rinsing all residue should be off. Recommended for all.

what is their to say about this item ? its a zippo so you know it will be a great lighter, this zippo takes the normal zippo look and gives it an older aged look that i love. i bought this as a gift for my father and he loves it. the quality of the lighter is of course very good, my father forgot the lighter in his pants and it went in to the wash with them, the lighter was not harmed at all (other then needing a refuel) but instead came out shinny.

Well, it's clearly a real Zippo, but far from my favorite I'd ever owned. The thing feels like it's coated in some kind of odd filmy substance and it's just not the look I'd hoped it would have. I've owned brass Zippo's that have naturally gotten antiqued out after use and this looks nothing like that.

It has a spray coating to make it look antique, and the spray coating chips off rather easily.

Habe das Zippo in antique Brass bestellt. Das schlechteste Zippo, das ich je hatte. Nach Lieferung Klapperte der Deckel nur so rum, schloss nicht sauber. Da war jedes meiner günstigeren Zippos besser. Anstelle es zu retournieren nahm ich Idiot den Zippo repair Service in Anspruch. Jetzt Klapperte nichts mehr, jedoch öffnete es beim öffnen nicht mehr, sondern blieb auf halber Strecke Stecken. Also nochmal an den repair Service mit einem ausführlichen Brief anbei, es soll sauber komplett öffnen und schließen. Heute erneut zurückbekommen, bleibt immer noch auf halber Strecke stehen beim öffnen. Bitte kauft es nicht, jedes Standard Zippo ist besser verarbeitet.
