Game-changing exfoliation that actually works
I discovered these traditional Asian exfoliating cloths through a Korean skincare routine article, and they've completely transformed my shower experience. After using regular washcloths and loofahs for years, I had no idea how much dead skin I wasn't removing until I tried these. The texture is perfect - rough enough to provide serious exfoliation but not so abrasive that it damages your skin. The first time I used one, I was amazed at how much dead skin came off, leaving my skin incredibly smooth and soft. My moisturizer absorbs so much better now, and I've noticed fewer ingrown hairs on my legs. The 8-piece set is great value and lets me have clean cloths for different body areas. I keep the red ones for body use and green for feet, which helps with hygiene. They're surprisingly durable - after six months of regular use and machine washing, they're holding up perfectly without losing their exfoliating properties. What I love is how they work best on slightly damp skin before applying soap. The technique takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out, the results are incredible. My skin feels baby-smooth and looks noticeably brighter. These have replaced my expensive body scrubs completely. Much more economical and effective than chemical exfoliants for body use. Skincare revelation: Finally understand why these are staples in Korean spas!

The review you never asked for, but most certainly is a thing that's been provided
These exfoliating mitts work phenomenally well. By the time I've been in the shower for a few minutes and washed my hair, all it takes is a few scrubs and the dead skin just pills up and rinses away. (Disclaimer: I'd caution everyone to start on "light mode", the way plug-in toothbrushes break in their users by gradually increasing intensity. Start with light pressure in the areas you want to exfoliate before increasing pressure in each area.) They work great on rough, dry skin areas like those found on the elbows, knees, ankles, shins, heels and toes. It reduced a callus I had by literally 95%, no lie. It's nearly gone! I haven't experienced any adverse thickening or other unintended effect. I've even used them VERY gently around my jaw and chin, where I notice my skin naturally pill from time to time, post-shower. They also completely got rid of some unwanted texture I had on my chest. I had small bumps (not pimples) all over that were relentless previously, but the mitt completely polished them away! I wouldn't recommend using them more than once or twice a week or during short and/or cooler showers though, as they can be overly abrasive in those circumstances. You really need the warm water to help soften your skin a bit, or it can get a bit uncomfortable. Embrace the suck. I would not recommend these for sensitive or fragile skin types, on areas with open skin or acne, or for kids. As other reviews mention, the mitts do shrink quite a bit once they dry after use, but I don't find it any more difficult to exfoliate with less surface area. It can be a struggle trying to keep the mitt flat as you scrub, but I've found that NOT using it as a mitt, and sort of lacing it between my fingers helps. (I place the mitt between my index and middle finger, with most of the material extending downwards towards the palm of my hand. Then, take that excess material and go under your middle and ring fingers, bringing it up and securing it with your pinky. Hope that makes sense!) This was my first time purchasing these mitts and I wanted to see the difference in coarseness between the pink and green, and honestly I can't detect one. I anticipate having these for awhile, but I'll probably just buy whichever one is cheapest in the future. So far, I've used my first mitt about 8 times, and it's still holding strong! This has got to be one of the cheapest skin & bodycare products out there to provide this kind of benefit with virtually no downside. It'll be a re-buy from me, dawg.

Good exfoliation but small
It’s a pocket washcloth where you put your hand in the pocket of the exfoliating washcloth. The exfoliation is good, however the pocket is a little small. Too small for my hand. It would be nice if we’re a little bigger. But other than that it works good.

Great exfoliation, easy to use
What a bang for its buck! It did exactly what I needed; exfoliate and get rid of those dirty, dead skin cells. It's important to note, that just like any other exfoliation process you should let your skin warm and dampen up first in the bath or shower, at around the time your fingers become prune like. Also yes it does shrink when wet, but it's stretchy and also has clear directions if it's too tight for your liking. Would definitely buy again, but since I have 8 for only $7ish I believe these will last long.

So glad I purchased them! Edit: 12-year review.
Edit: 12 years later, I'm literally still using the first scrubber I removed from the package. These things last so long! The side stitching has torn a bit, but it's still perfectly rough. It dries fast and doesn't get moldy. I wash it by placing it in a net 'delicates' bag and throw it in my washer. I still use exactly as I mentioned in the original review and I still love it. Original: I had a scrub in a spa a few years ago and finally researched the cloths. These are exactly what I wanted! They work better than any sugar, salt, apricot, or synthetic bead scrub and I've used a lot of different ones. The cloths are kind of small, but I expected that. They shrink in half as soon as water touches them. I read the reviews, so no surprise there. I tried cold water first as a test, but it still shrunk. However, it doesn't affect their effectiveness. I would prefer a larger size, but this size works just fine. It's basically a square mitt. I slide it on, knuckles first, the stretch my fingertips. I have fairly large hands for a woman and it stays on my hand. I use it at the end of my shower so my skin is warm and softened. Do not use soap. It lubricates the fibers and reduces the effectiveness. I scrub briskly with firm strokes. I use long strokes wherever I can. It feels like a good scratch. It's amazing how much skin is removed - gobs! My middle-aged skin isn't especially sensitive so I scrub with abandon and don't experience any irritation. I am THRILLED with the results. I have a tendency to get ingrown hairs and I had a horrible case of keratosis pilaris on my upper arms that has been there for at least 3 years. I've been using the cloth for about a month and it's almost gone - smooth, but not baby-bottom smooth. It also works great on tough areas, like heels. I have tried it on my face. If I'm super-gentle and use a little cleanser for lubrication, I can use it without damage. Be very careful if you try it on your face and don't try if your skin is delicate or sensitive. I'll definitely buy more!

Tiny hands, big exfoliate
They are really small, have to do some work to keep them in your hands. But great for exfoliating. Best if used at the end of a long tub soak, no soap, dry skin will pill up on the cloth.

Buy them
I bought these to deeply exfoliate my legs to help my leg hairs come through the skin after wax/period between waxing to prevent ingrown, so unfortunately, no dead skin came off (but I regularly exfoliate so no shocker there for me). Now! I used this on my husband and the amount of skin that came off this man (he doesn’t use a wash cloth to bathe) WAS SO SATISFYING! His skin was like butter. Silky. I mean baby’s bottom soft. I was soooooo impressed. He was grumpy about it in the shower—crying like a baby—anyhow afterwards, I immediately moisturized him with a mixture of aloe, lotion, glycerin and a drop of jojoba to replenish moisture and nourish the skin after such a deep, and clearly first time ever, exfoliation. The next day he had to tell me how noticeably soft his arms were. And they were! Absolutely wonderful results. I recommend. This is a new staple in my skin care routine. No more scrubs or expensive exfoliation creams.

Excellent BUT shrinks…
The item exfoliates extremely well and I don’t think I can return to using a regular washcloth after this experience. The cloth itself is designed with an opening, allowing the user to put their hand inside the cloth- making it easier to scrub the body. The price point and quality is good for the product… -But the cloth shrinks drastically even after one use. The size of the cloth is originally 16.5cm X 14cm- but measuring after a week of use it has become 13cm X 11cm. Shrinking down to about 80% of the original size… The cloth becomes stretchy after shrinking. The maximum amount of stretch being 18.5cm X 13cm… but it attempts to shrink back down even when in use- which causes it to slip off of the hand frequently. But even with that complaint, I still love it. One week of use- everyday and often several times a day- has finally worn out the cloth… and I still have seven more left. Will re-buy and do recommend.
