Worth it
Like others have mentioned, the wings will come off but to be honest-the cat doesnt care. That's really for the human... may be easiest just to cut them off at the beginning so you dont find wing pieces. I have one attached to a wand (the one that came with this is junk-get a better one), and 4 lying around that she likes to play fetch with-or just a wild soccer fest on her own. Absolutely adorable.

My Kittens favorite toys
I got one of these with a fishing rod toy, I had to remove it off of the rod because they kept playing with it and dragging the rod around. They play with that thing and fight for it all day, so decided to buy more for them all to have their own.

Cats enjoy them
I didnt realize these were to put on a wand which makes it even better. Nice quality and very cute. My cats prefer to play with these on their own however I never understood why they make cat toys so big...that's the reason for the 4 stars, they are just a bit too big. On a wand they are not graceful at all...actually I think the cats are a bit scared of them flopping about and why they prefer to just play with them on their on

Very cute but removed wings for safety: in a moving toy, hard thin wings could injure cats' eyes
I bought these dragonflies to add to my own sticks: had found them to be very cute but then realized that when used as a fast moving cat toy swinging from a stick, that the hard plastic wings could cause an eye injury, so for my cats' safety, removed the wings. I used pliers as well as scissors to remove the base of the wings as well as the hard pieces of glue attacheding them to the fluff material and body (they are glued to the body very well). Have been using the toy as is, but may use a needle & thread to put in a couple stitches to close up the fluffy area area at the base to prevent fraying where I had cut. Without wings, the dragonfly is still attractive & moves well. My 16 1/2 year old less active cat- loves this new & improved dragon fly with its big eyes: it comes with a bell attachedbut I fastened the whole dragonfly to a two part wand which has a hangle that makes loud chirps and they are a hit together (the cat doesn't care that the chirps are not coming from the dragonfly itself & resonds as if they were). The 2-part stick toy has a button in its handle to make the bird chirps & recharges- its great to not need any batteries (especially those small round ones): I bought the chirpin wand on Chewy before I saw it was avaiable as a prime item with free shipping and for the same price. The wand which incorporates the chirping sounds is called the Pet Fit For Life LED Pointer Light Chaser Cat Feather Teaser Toy: cat toys which incorporate feathers should only be used under supervision but I do not use ant featherattachments but replace them with safer attachments (swallowing certain feathers can be fatal for cats, causing internal blockage & preforation as they do not digest); For additional safety, especially if the cat(s) play wildly or if children are operating a wand- I also prefer, when possible, to tie the cords of the wands directly to the moving attachments to eliminate the metal hardware that could also possibly hit and injure an actively playing cat but I need to find more cording in different materials (though not metal wire) to tie directly to assorted individual attachments; will post a photo of our new & improved dragon fly cat wand attachment later.

My cat loves these
I have a very playful cat who destroys anything on the end of a string. These are great replacements to keep me from having to buy a new wand every few weeks. He goes through one of these in about that time, but he is pretty vicious with them. First he rips the wings off, then he goes for the eyes. Once we're down to a worm on a string I replace it, and he goes nuts all over again. He usually can't even wait for me to get it tied on before he's after it. I've tried others, but these guys are his favorite

Dangerous wings
This toy is dangerous. The wings are plastic and they are not those soft ones but hard and sharp. I don’t understand why the maker chose such material for a flying cat toy. So I immediately cut the wings but it’s also bigger and heavier than any typical flying toys. If they’re half of the size and with a safe wing material, it could be a 5 star toy but I cannot give any stars as is. Especially none of my cats are showing any interest in them.

Cats love them!!
My kitten just loves these darn things. The wings don’t last too long but that’s ok as they get played with a lot. Very happy with them. They are the favorite toys. Even wingless the get carried around and fought over lol. I would buy them again and give em as gifts.
