Nice fan
Bought this fan a month ago, I have had it on the highest setting since I bought it and it works great! Keeps my room cool, isn't as loud as I expected but still makes a good bit of noise. I have it setting on the floor but I imagine it would work even better if you had it mounted above the floor. Great fan for the price!

Durable Construction & Quality Performance --- Excellent Value!!!
The fan provides superior circulation and cooling for a room size of 10' x 15' w/ 9' Ceilings! The fan is mounted to the ceiling truss near the corner of the entrance to an office room and angled downward at about 45ยฐ degrees, diagonal from the opposite corner. The office is located in a historical building on a second floor with limited electrical outlets and amperage; nestled between two adjoining rooms, sealing off outside breezes, leaving only a window facing north to receive air (mostly warmer air without a breeze). Previously, the room was inadequately cooled only by a portable A/C unit with a low temperature of 62ยฐ degrees with minimal airway leading from the hallway to the room entrance. The addition of the fan solved the stale and stagnant air and makes for a comfortable environment at any time of the day with or without the entrance door open. A 15' surge protector and extension chord was mounted to the trim molding along the perimeter near the ceiling from the opposite wall where the electrical outlet is located. The fan comes equipped with a 9' chord combining for a total of 24' feet, spanning from wall-to-wall, including two alcoves divided by a closet. A maximum of three appliances are running at any given time without tripping the breaker. A 12" chain link was added to the standard 3" factory chain, combining for about 15" of length, resting at about 24" inches from the 9' ceiling; enabling for easy reach to adjust the three variable speeds or to turn off. Side note: the original order was received with a slightly bent mounting bracket (yoke) and a paint chip at the mounting hole of the bracket (likely a rare situation). The fan was scheduled to be installed by the next day; Amazon shipped a new product for next day arrival and sent a courier service to retrieve the original order the same day ---- outstanding customer service!

Excellent made in USA fan!
This is a review on the Air King model 9314 fan: Has ball bearing motor, quiet yet moves a lot of air. This is my 2nd one in use as an air circulator for my garage furnace. I have it controlled by a 110 VAC plug in thermostat to turn on when heat builds up in the alcove where the furnace is installed. Unfortunately, the only location I could place the furnace is on the outside wall, perpendicular to the garage bay, so it blows heat mostly in the little 8' x 10' annex. The heat needed to be directed out into the bay. The first one of these I purchased lasted at least 10 years and probably would still be working but I think the intermittent operation took out the capacitor and since it wasn't running for quite awhile, the bearings dried-up. I think if left to run 24/7 they'll last a very long time. I had one of these Air King fans at work running continuously for about 20 years and that was what prompted me to spend a little more to get one of these quality, American built Fans. I hope they continue producing these in USA! I noticed that the smaller Air King fan uses sleeve bearings, which are much more prone to longevity issues. Do yourself a favor and get this larger 14" fan!

NOT directional fan but good quality
Have this installed in my home gym. This is an air circulator not directional meaning it does not blow air directly at you like a normal fan does. I placed a thick washer between the mount and ceiling so the fan can swivel position. No vibration or wobble, pretty quiet. 3 speeds with pull rope (I have it wired to switch)

One of my favorite items in this entire world
I don't just like this thing. I absolutely love it. I used to have the 20" floor version a long time ago. I decided to get the smaller 14" multi-mount this time around. Air Kings are not just a fan. They are a lifestyle must-have, well for me anyway. It helps me in so many ways: helps me drown out noise during the day and at night I sleep with it on, drying my clothes that I've hand washed, keeping cool. And the way it spreads air is very relaxing too. It's not just constant air, it's more like the air is wavy. Kind of like the feeling you get from the wind when you're on a beach. I'm especially drawn to Air Kings because of their industrial look. They have that no-nonsense look about them. The all black, all steel, wide fan blades, and the Air King logo that reminds you it's not just a fan-- it's a "high velocity air circulator" so you know you're dealing with some serious stuff. Also, from an ASMR standpoint, its sound is just so relaxing. It's more like a brown noise than a white noise. It effectively gets rid of any annoying background noises in your environment. I'll tell you why I specifically chose this 14" multi-mount model. First, I usually just put it on the floor. I needed something that's small enough to move around because I like to move it around during the day depending on what I need it for. I especially like the multi-mount because it's good enough for the floor. You prop up the air king with the mount on a 45 degree angle like you would do with a picture frame stand. Yes there are the floor versions, but I prefer the more compact look of the multi-mount. And it's very stable. Also I like the pull chord, it's minimal and serves as a single control for the fan. Another thing I like about the 14" version is it takes the least power of all the models (yes, even less power than the 12" version). And it's only about 2 pounds heavier than the 12" and moves more air. Also I noticed that the 12" versions - some of them have ball bearings and some of them don't. I think the multi-mount 12" has sleeve bearings but the floor one has ball bearings on the newer models, so it's a bit complicated. But with the 14" they all have ball bearings. Also I like the bigger diameter. The bigger Air Kings are obviously nicer but they're not as easy to move, are louder and heavier, and take more power. Anyway, if I were going to a deserted Island I'd have to take this Air King. It's an essential life item. The look, the sound, everything is just so perfect about this.

Very Good Quality 14" Mounted Fan
Air King 9314s are extremely good wall mount fans for the price, but be gentle and pull at the correct angle with the weak speed-changing ball cord. We have now purchased six 9314s over the last decade in addition to two 12" models we no longer prefer. For the primary application, we always sleep with a fan blowing over our us, no matter how cold or warm it is. And we have them in our guest rooms because they don't have AC. We change the speed about four times per year and learned that one has to be very careful with the ball chain-cord or it will break off inside the unit. It's very cumbersome to fix. Tip: The easiest way to "fix" it is to cut a hole in the casing, taking them all the way apart is a HUGE hassle unless you have a machine workshop. The Air King 12" models are much louder to move the same amount of air and seem to last less long. Expect three to five years of perfect constant operation from a 9314 and a year less or so if you turn it on and off frequently. After a few years, they start to develop noises. Use a leaf blower on them one to four times per year to remove the bulk of the dust and hair. We also use them in our business offices to allow us to keep the temperature higher. Some people don't like sitting in moving air, but if you can get used to it, it makes the air temp feel 5-10F cooler. We have only had one actually full fail out of the eight Air Kings we've purchased. We've retired four of the eight for being too noisy for bedrooms, one moved to a place where we don't care about squeaking. As a little background, I also buy and use much more expensive commercial fans for use in agricultural and industrial venting applications. Professionally, I pay about 4-10 times the price of these Air Kings for similar CFM ratings (though they are not exactly one-to-one equivalent). The commercial ones I use have louvers and are designed to be built into walls, etc. If Air King fixed the chain cord angle problem and/or replaced with a switch, these would be much better. Hide the cord from your guests so they don't yank it off by accident.

Moves lots of air
Nice high quality fan I set up in my gym to move air, and it does a great job. Very sturdy.

My last one lasted twenty-one years, these are amazing,
I bought and installed an identical model in 2003. We would turn it on in April and turn it off for in October or early November. It would run around the clock for seven months of the year. When I turned it on in 2024 it was making a noise that concerned me, so I replaced it with a cheaper foreign made equivalent. It clearly wasn't equivalent, as it only lasted one year. When I turned it on this April, it didn't sound right at all. I bought and installed another Air King 9314, like I should have last year. It is a terrific product. It fully deserves the five stars.

Bon rapport qualitรฉ-prix

Solid product
I'm very happy with this fan. Using it to circulate air in a 1.5 car garage. Construction is solid and simple. Blows with lots of power (even the low setting). Doesn't rattle or wobble.

Stops the Mosquitoes on my Patio.
I purchased this Air King Fan to help add a breeze on my patio and it also stops the mosquitoes from biting at night. I can now throw out all my bug repellent and enjoy every summer evening. Just spend the extra money on a quality product and you'll be happy. I bought the Air King 14 inch heavy duty Fan and it does the trick. Thanks Amazon for another great product.

Great Airflow
We had to build our own bracket cause one wasnโt available to wall mount but we made it work. Itโs well made and we can tilt or adjust direction so we very happy with this fan.

Moves a lot of air.
A lot less noisy than my old Honeywell commercial fan that had put in a bedroom window to cool room at night. Better than noisy air conditioner that would cycle on and off wake me up and and would not cool below 70 degrees. This fan drops the temperature to almost the outside night temperature at 57 degrees . I use a dual indoor/ outdoor thermometer to tell when the outside air is cooler than inside air and turn fan on. A bit noisy on the highest setting , but on low masks other sounds and helps me sleep.
