Great Product - accurate yardage & simple to use
Great product!! I have had this for just over a month and used it on four different courses now and love it. I have checked the accuracy against my range finder and found it to be spot on for yardage; usually within one to three yards max. One of the nice features is simply looking at your wrist and checking yardage to center, front, back of greens, to hazards [to, and carry] and end of fairways as well, something a range finder will not give you. Another great feature is the shot distance; one press of a button and it measures the distance from where the shot was hit. The only problem I have encountered is it will jump ahead one or two holes after a swing, but this has only been on occasion when in manual mode only. Overall, a great product, I would highly recommend it to any avid golfer that requires accurate yardage. The battery charges quickly and holds a charge for a couple of full rounds, probably longer but I don't want to push it and run out in the middle of a round, already getting quite used to playing with it!

Zero in on your yardage with Quality and comfort.
The Bushnell NEO XS GPS Rangefinder is an easy to use, excellent assist for your golf game. The watch came fully charged and ready to use with the correct time, day and date, plus the USB charging cable connects securely for a quick charge. The band is comfortable and durable during play and the large numbers are easy to read. Very functional, it searches for the course quickly and starts the round with ease. I played several rounds without charging. I highly recommend.

Somewhat satisfied, but...
I used a Bushnell Rangefinder scope for years, until it stopped functioning. Rather than spend $300 to $400 on a new scope, I purchased the GPS watch for about half the price. I assumed I would be trading some accuracy for more convenience, and that is about right. The scope was terrific, except in the fog or on blind shots, but it did require getting it in and out of the golf bag or cart. The watch is more convenient, and does not typically interfere with play. I often carry my golf bag, and sometimes the watch will catch the carry strap as I slip it over my shoulder due to the watch being a little bulky at 1/2" in thickness. The yardages seem to be generally accurate, and are usually close to a friend's Garmin watch. There are times when it will get stuck on a yardage, or when the yardage shown seems to be wrong. I then often rely on the course markings, but it is a bit annoying and unsettling to have two different yardages in mind. It is times like those that I wish for my scope! I purchased the black watch with the white numbers. I do not think the numbers appear as clearly as shown in the product photo. The numbers are more green than white. But viewing the display is generally easy during a round of golf. Personally, I do not think it works as well as a watch, since indoors, the numbers are much more difficult the read - not impossible, just more difficult. Watches with black numbers on the light background are probably better for that. I have had no problems with it locating courses, although the initial search can take two to three minutes. I usually charge the watch on Fridays before my Saturday round, so have had no problem with battery life. I also purchased the watch car charger which was sold as part of a package, but have no idea what is going on there! The watch charges with a pronged attachment that clips to the watch, but the car charger comes with a small USB end. I had assumed the car charger would also have the required pronged end. If someone knows the rationale behind that, please let me know.

Bushnell XS vs Garmin S1
I own the Bushnell NEO XS and the (now outdated) Garmin S1. Both do the job of providing distances to the center of the green, but overall, I prefer the Bushnell NEO XS. Some feature comparisons: 1. Battery and Charging I have gotten 4 rounds from a single charge on the Bushnell, while the Garmin seems to run out after 1-2 rounds, often dying in the middle of the 2nd round. Both watches use a clip mechanism to charge where you position the charger connects on the back of the watch. The mechanism for the Garmin is far more finicky than the Bushnell. Often on the Garmin I feel like the connections should be set but the watch doesn't charge. I need to jiggle the connection a bit to make it charge. The Bushnell has a similar mechanism, but aligns the charging connects via two protruding pins on the charger. This mechanism guarantees a charge nearly always for me, and I don't have to worry about accidentally moving the watch and breaking the charging connect; this has happened a few times with the Garmin. 2. Comfort The Bushnell is lighter and the watch band is softer than the Garmin. This may be a point of preference, but I notice the Bushnell less while golfing vs. the Garmin. The Garmin is bulkier and slightly heavier and I find myself having to adjust the watch and move towards my forearm prior to hitting a shot. The band on the Bushnell is less stiff, which is good for comfort, but may wear more quickly than the Garmin. 3. Usage Both watches have similar feature sets, including distance to the green and the ability to measure the distance of a shot. The Garmin captures the GPS signal faster than the Bushnell, with the Bushnell sometimes taking 2-3 minutes to show the list of courses when entering golf mode. While locked on, both perform equivalently. I feel like the Bushnell tends to advance holes before I completed the current hole more than the Garmin, so I have to manually toggle back to the current hole. To toggle the "measure shot" mode on the Bushnell, you just need to push a button once while the Garmin makes you hold the menu button down and then select an option from the menu. This feature is definitely easier on the Bushnell. Another convenient feature is to set an "alarm" and a time "limit" on your round. When using these features, the Bushnell will automatically go into golf mode at the alarm time and then exit golf mode after a preset time (5 hrs default). The latter feature should save some battery if you forget to manually exit golf mode after the round. I only really use the Bushnell now these days. The Garmin S1 is discontinued and the S3 has more features like being able to track your score. For the money, I think the Bushnell is a great value and recommend it over the Garmin products.

Disappointed with durability.
The watch performed as expected for the first year, however it only stayed charged for one round. Half way in to the second season the GPS could not lock on to a signal. I contacted Bushnell repair, they told me the GPS antennae probably came loose and needed to be resoldered. I sent it to them about 5 weeks ago and still have not gotten it back, the repair cost was 35$. I hope they have solved the problem. I am surprised that a watch that is used for an athletic action cannot hold up to its intended use.

This was a gift for my boyfriend (I really love to get him gifts and spoil him- I hope this man marries me someday!). Anyway, I am not a golfer, but he is a fanatic who plays 4-5 times a week during the summer. Before trying this product, I originally purchased for him a Nikon range finder. He said it was clunky and difficult to focus on the hole- sometimes he would get a tree or another object. After discussing it with one of his golf buddies, he got a recommendation for this watch, which comes preloaded with all of the popular courses. My boyfriend has golfed at least 30 different places in Michigan since I purchased the watch and only one course was not available as a pre-load. He says he would not golf without this watch and it has improved his game. He is a consistent low 80's golfer, but has been getting scores in the 70's lately with the watch. He says it is functional and durable and he feels the product is well made and will last a long time.

Great watch BUT...
First GPS watch. Prior using GPS on handheld and smartphone. Wanted the watch for convenience. The GOOD... The band imo is the best out there, has a light feel to it. Didnt bother me at all and was very comfortable. setup and use was easy, pretty much self intuitive. Love the screen display and contrast, and really liked that it looked and functioned as a basic watch The BAD... Battery life was horrible. Maybe it was a defective or what not, I say that because no matter what - it barely lasted a full round. The only conclusion I can come to is either the battery was faulty and/or the GPS is just draining it. I never really used any of the hazard functionalities, if anything - I just played my rounds, hole by hole and let the watch auto advance. But I noticed by hole 15 - it prompts me to plug it in. Im playing your average round of the golf. The manual says it can last a few rounds but I dont see that happened. The charging cable also felt flimsy - its not difficult but at the same time, you do need to make sure the contacts are spot on otherwise it wont charge. Wouldve love to kept it if it just worked but with faulty battery right out of the box, I couldnt take that risk. Maybe next time...

Faulty watch.
So far so good. Had a Garmin and it (the watch) didn't last but just over a a year and the battery life was so-so and was never sure if I could get through 2 rounds. This one has a battery life that is perfect, played 2 rounds and the battery life was at 50%. All I hope for now is it is built to last. Had to send the Bushnell NEO back after 10 months, display quit working but was still under warranty.UPDATE: It's not built to last, sent it in to Bushnell and recieved a list of issues with the watch... Battery Faulty, CPU Board and Cosmetically Scuffed. OK I understand the cosmetetically scuffed part because I actually wore the watch but it was near new condition considering it is made of plastic. But wait I can re-place it for $143.00 WOW what a deal for a watch that I payed less for originally. the watch is less than a year old and has a faulty battery and CPU board who's issue is that? They Bushnell admit the inside of the watch is problematic but hey they can keep selling you new ones.UPDATE: The customer service isn't all that good, they don't respond with updates that they recieved your information such as proof of purchase after asking for it, maybe there are a lot of watches being sent back and they are swamped.

Super
